First Ultrasound

I went in on Wednesday to the doctor for blood work and an ultrasound. They said everything looked great and my body is responding to the medication perfectly!! That was great news (best birthday present)! So I started taking Estrace 2 pills twice a day and a baby aspirin. I am still taking my Lupron shots but did get to decrease the dose from 10 units to 5 units. I was hoping that would help the headaches but no such luck. They seem to bother me the most in the middle of the night or should I say early morning. I usually wake up about 12am-1am and have the worst headache ever!

My next appointment is on the 20th for more blood work and an ultrasound to check my uterine lining. It is hard to believe 2 weeks after that ultrasound is the transfer week!!

With the transfer day approaching I have been thinking a lot about how many embryos the intended parents are going to decide to transfer. I agreed to transfer no more than two. The last time I saw them they were still not sure if they were going to transfer 1 or 2. The RE told us that the chances of getting pregnant I we transfer one is 40% and the chances of getting pregnant if we transfer 2 is 70%. I am a little nervous to carry twins however; I do believe either way that it will turn out wonderful.

Everything is moving right along! I am all smiles through the headaches and the hot flashes…this is a dream come true! My cheeks hurt from smiling all the time =)

  1. Carrying twins isn't that bad. They don't have as much space to move, so there isn't the somersaulting you get with one. WhatEVER the Lord has planned, I know He will see you through.
