I must say second graders are pretty understanding and sensitive
especially towards their teacher who’s experiencing menopausal side effects!
The hot flashes have been awful. We have had many laughs together about how
Mrs. Jepson looks like a tomato.
Two weeks ago I had an ultrasound to make sure my body was
responding to the medication like it should be. Check!
This week I had an ultrasound to measure my uterine lining.
I measured at 12.2…. and if you are
wondering… that is FANTASTIC!!
What’s next? Between tonight and tomorrow I start 3 more
medications. Progesterone in oil. Yes, in oil. FYI… once you jam the needle in
it takes forever and is sometimes difficult to inject the medication because
oil is thick. Not so fun! Also start progesterone capsules. These are taken
vaginally. Also not fun, and the husbands least favorite. TMI? Sorry nothing
but the truth here! I actually find myself laughing out loud as I type this!
The last two meds are an antibiotic and prednisone.
Do we have a date?? OH YES WE DO!!! I fly out for NY on
Tuesday. Transfer is on Wednesday (the 9th) !!!! I am so excited….and scared….
It feels like I am flying out to see friends. Travis and I
are excited to see the intended parents again!! I am a ball of emotions right
now but I am staying very positive. I am ready to start baking a bun for these
wonderful people so they can become parents.
Until next week…..
